About Me
I have
been involved in horses all my life. From pony club as a
child to 25 years of professional involvement in the equine
industry my enthusiasm and love of horses has always remained.
During this period I have ridden and competed in many disciplines including eventing, show-jumping, and race riding. Having broken-in many horses (of all breeds), and owned and trained gallopers, I feel I have an understanding of the joys, disappointments and problems of horse ownership.
I take
my motto "prompt, professional, reliable" seriously
and make a point of being on time for appointments. I appreciate your time is valuable!!
Being dedicated to providing a high standard of farriery
work I regularly attend clinics and seminars in order
to keep up to date with the latest advances in veterinary
science and technology.
I am
a proud member of the Victorian Master Farriers Association
and subscribe to their farrier code of conduct.
Quality
Products
I pride
myself on using only the highest quality of products for
the horses I work on. From the very best nails and shoes
right through to the tools of the trade I only use
the best and refuse to compromise on quality. My philosophy
is that any job is only as good as its weakest link. Wherever
possible I use Australian made products to help support
local industry.
Going Green
We all like to try and do our
bit to help the environment. Wherever possible I try
to keep my bookings in a localised area on any particular
day in order to cut down on fuel usage. Further, I always
take used shoes home and once a week I take the used shoes
along with worn out rasps and tools to the local steel recyclers.
